The Coalition to Advance Healthcare Reform (CAHR) today applauded the bipartisan passage of a groundbreaking wellness amendment in the Senate Finance Committee. The amendment to the America’s Healthy Future Act of 2009 was sponsored by Senators John Ensign (R-NV) and Tom Carper (D-DE) and will give Americans incentives to live healthier lifestyles with the goal of lowering their costs of healthcare. The amendment was supported in the committee by a vote of 18-4 and strongly supported by CAHR.   read more »
