OUR STORIES

McKesson

John Hammergren has challenged McKesson employees to take an active part in the transformation of the healthcare system by being educated consumers of healthcare and using resources provided by McKesson to make healthier choices for themselves and their families. We believe these internal efforts will enable McKesson to achieve its vision to be a recognized leader in creating a health care system where quality is higher, costs are lower and access is greater.  As a part of its healthcare offering to employees, McKesson provides:

A “Build Your Own” medical option that allows employees to customize their health insurance coverage to meet their individual needs.  All options include 100% coverage for preventive services, discounts for use of high performance physicians, access to on-line health information and a 24 hour nurse advice line.

Resources for all of our employees, regardless of their current health status, to help them stay healthy or get healthier.  We offer incentives for participation in a health risk assessment tool and healthy living programs on such topics as nutrition, weight management, stress management, back care, overcoming depression and overcoming sleep problems.

Paid incentives for employees to participate in disease management programs for chronic conditions such as asthma, heart disease and diabetes.
